Stamp Duty System —— Stamp Duty Self-Assessment System (SDSAS ) Officially Implemented!

Starting 1 January 2026, the stamp duty compliance will officially enter 
the Self-Assessment era!

From now on, every signed document must be declared online for stamp duty — you calculate, you pay!

Common documents that require declaration include 
(Most commonly overlooked by businesses):

Employment contracts

Tenancy agreements

Property sale or transfer agreements

Service agreements

Inter-company agreements

Loan 
agreements

Any agreement, even if it is merely a revised version, must be declared unless it is an exempt document — absolutely no exceptions!

After signing the agreement, you must declare it within 30 days, otherwise you may face:

Contract Inadmissible As Evidence In Court

Many businesses today only get the documents stamped when they need it.
This approach no longer work starting year 2026.
